‘ 2016.05.25 Launch of Website: Beach Volleyball and Futsal Club gMATSUDO REGALOh

We have produced the website for gMATSUDO REGALOh, a volleyball and futsal club.

MATSUDO REGALO is a sports club managed by the general incorporated association gREGALO SPORTS COMMUNITYh. (Director: Yuya Ageba, certified athlete for Japanfs national beach volleyball team and a candidate to represent Japan at the Rio Olympics) The club formed in 2015 with Matsudo City in Chiba Prefecture as its hometown. It comprises of a beach volleyball team and futsal team, runs many local activities and is already making arrangements with local governments. The club also actively participates in national tournaments.

We are privileged to provide the logo, emblem (CI) and website for MATSUDO LEGALO, which was organized through our combined inspiration with Mr. Ageba, who we are passionately supportive of.

We expressed liveliness and dynamism while keeping an element of tradition, by using a logo and design that would give the club even more spark. We also introduced a responsive design so that the website could be easily viewed on smartphones and tablets.

Furthermore, we embedded Google Calendar and customized our content management system so that the client could transmit information in real time.

‘ 2016.04.17 Renewal of the Website for Japanese Language and Literature Research Information and Results

At the request from Professor Yasuhiro Kondo of the Aoyama Gakuin University College of Literature, we have renewed the website gJapanese Language and Literature Research Information and Resultsh.

Its purpose is to exhibit the results of integrated arts, science and transdisciplinary research in Japanese linguistics and literature. This project was funded with grants for scientific research received by Professor Kondo (issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science).

Users have access to reports, material and results for each kind of research.

Our aim was to help our client transition from a website that was built and managed using WordPress to one that used Movable Type. We proposed a website that was suitable for operating in the long-term, introducing customized fields and categories to simplify the website and improve input user-friendliness.

For the design, we put in a stylish and clean look for modern feel while at the same time incorporating the history and tradition of the Japanese Language and Linguistics research.
*The client has been managing updates since the renewal.

‘ 2016.04.12 Launch of Event Site for the Embassy of the United States Foreign Commercial Service

We collaborated with the Foreign Commercial Service in the Embassy of the United States to create a new website for a security conference held on May 16 and 17. The website was designed as a landing page, featuring a function to manage applications for participation in the event.

The cyber security conference was held by the United States Foreign Commercial Service to coincide with a visit from the United States Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration Cyber Security Business Development Mission. Many of the mission's leading members, government officials and notable experts from both America and Japan were invited.

The new landing page provides information about the conference, including the conference program, and companies are able to register for the conference using the built-in online form. The site also includes a match-up page for business meetings between foreign and Japanese companies.

By adopting a responsive design, we enabled users to access the website on their smartphones. This design was considered so that numerous companies could register for the event. We also customized and installed an application form and participant management system that aligned with the design of the website.

The conference will be held again as required in anticipation of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games and will strengthen the connection between Japan and America.

‘ 2010.7.30 Created 2011 admissions information pamphlet for Aoyama Business School

The Graduate School of International Management Aoyama Gakuin University (referred to below as the Aoyama Business School) hired us to create an admissions information pamphlet for the 2011 academic year.

Since it opened its doors in 1990, Aoyama Business School (located in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) has served as a professional graduate school by cultivating management professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit who are capable of constructing business operations and implementing organizational innovation as well as hands-on researchers able to adapt to fluctuations in the managing environment.

In addition to including an introduction to the Aoyama Business School MBA and EMBA (Executive MBA) programs, the pamphlet contains comments from currently enrolled students and curriculum information.

In the creation process, we followed in the footsteps of the previous year's design concept focusing on making the curriculum information visually clear-cut and using photographs and colors dynamically to express the vibrant and dynamic nature of Aoyama Business School. We also revised detailed aspects even further to give the overall feel more polish.

The admissions information pamphlet will be passed out at events such as the admissions test orientation.

‘ 2010.7.1 Renewed the Urvest Hotel website

We renewed the Urvest Hotel website.

Urvest Hotel is a business hotel line featuring two locations in the JR Kamata Station area with extremely convenient access to Narita Airport and downtown recreation spots and one location in the JR Omori Station and Keikyu Omori Kaigan Station area.

In addition to overall information for the entire Urvest Hotel Group, the website also contains assorted contents for each individual location such as guest room information, transportation access, hotel area environment, and online reservations.

In the process of renewal, keeping in line with a website feel appropriate for a hotel brand that is currently expanding its branches, we organized and classified information with the goal of communicating to the user in a clear-cut and effective manner (1) overall information for the entire group (hotel brand information, etc.) and (2) basic information for each individual hotel.

Also, in response to the client's desire to increase online reservations, we adjusted the button design and layout of each hotel's reservation page for ease of use.

For the design aspect, we strove to maintain a tidy and simple design that evokes the simple and functional feel of an urban business hotel.

‘ 2010.6.30 Renewed racer Hideki Noda's website

We renewed the design for racer Hideki Noda's official website.

Hideki Noda is a race car driver involved in motor sports on the worldwide stage. He raced in the top category formula one race in 1994. He has raced in the Indy Lights series in the US from 1996, and was the first Japanese racer to attain first place. He announced his retirement from racing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (French: 24 Heures du Mans) in July of this year. Capping off his career as a competitive pro driver, he has taken up the new challenge of molding the young racers of tomorrow.

His website contains information including his profile and race report.

In renewing the design, we aimed for a feel that would illustrate his spirit as a motorist challenging the rigors of racing and capture the excitement of motor sports. Also, we strove to instill a race car feel and unique high class experience in the design for the global navigation areas of the header and menu.

‘ 2010.5.15 Renewed the axelle Inc. website

We renewed the axelle Inc. website.

Axelle Inc. (located in Higashi Azabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo) is a fashion model office that handles invitations for foreign fashion models and manages dog fashion models.

The website contains information including intros for staffed foreign models and dog models as well as dog goods sales and dog service information.

In the renewal process, we selected a simple image and color that would best allow the staffed models and products to shine. The purple and monotone color combo is subdued and imbues the website with a tight feel.

Also, we achieved a design that does not impede upon the visual image desired by the client.

‘ 2009.12.4 Created additional website content for the College of Education, Psychology and Human Studies in Aoyama Gakuin University

Intercast created additional contents for Aoyama Gakuin University's College of Education, Psychology and Human Studies website.

The College of Education, Psychology and Human Studies in Aoyama Gakuin University is a new academic department created in April 2009 through a reform of the College of Literature. Education and psychology share a great deal of ground as academic fields, and this new combined department will set educational goals and cultivate human resources with an approach that unifies these two academic areas even more than previously while also generating an even higher level of education and research results.

A preliminary website containing basic information that was created for the establishment of this new academic department served as a taking off point. From there, Intercast revised a portion of the existing website and added contents including seminar information and graduate school information. This new website was then released as the new official department website.

‘ 2009.12.1 Created a Flash animation of the Pfizer Japan, Inc. social contribution mascot

Intercast created an original Flash animation for the Pfizer Japan, Inc. social contribution mascot.

Intercast was previously requested to create an intranet for Pfizer Japan to be used as an in-house education tool. The current assignment called for us to create an original Flash animation for that intranet. We animated a character created by an Intercast staff illustrator. The animation will be used in presentations.

In the animation creation process, we used natural movement and drawings that fully convey the cheerfulness and friendliness of the dog character.

‘ 2009.11.9 Hiraoka-Shiga Dance Academy - Website Renewal

We renewed Hiraoka-Shiga Dance Academy website.

Hiraoka-Shiga Dance Academy (Itabashi-ku, Tokyo) is a dance school with over sixty years of tradition. In addition to modern ballet and contemporary jazz classes, the school offers a full menu with kids dance classes and health ballet exercise classes. It also has the best to offer in Tokyo metropolitan area facilities such as acoustics and air-conditioning.

In addition to detailed information about lessons, such as course intros and schedules, the website includes frequently asked questions about dance classes and a rental studio intro.

We paid special attention to producing a design that shows off the key good points of the school by clearly conveying the elegance of a dance school steeped in history and tradition, at-home feel of the classes, and cheerful atmosphere of its many children students. And SEM (Search Engine Marketing) analysis showed that by analyzing key words used by users and reflecting these in the website, results indicating that the website is already displaying at a high level are beginning to surface.

Also, in order to allow the school to actively manage their own daily news announcements and lesson schedules, we embedded the HTML code with our own Content Management System (CMS) on updates for the news page, links page, and the FAQ page and a Google calendar function for the schedule page.

The Cabinet Office, Government of Japan hired us to create the "Multistakeholder Portal for a Sustainable Future" and "Multistakeholder Forum on Social Responsibility for a Sustainable Future" website.

This is a comprehensive information website. Here, organizations and individuals (stakeholders) that bear the burden of resolving issues in order to actualize the sustainable development of society are provided with an arena to share and expansively supply knowhow and information. It also contains introductions to a variety of projects as well as Multistakeholder Forum on Social Responsibility for a Sustainable Future meeting information and survey research.

Basing our work on the website's main thrusts of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainable development, we gave special consideration to allowing a broader range of users to learn about these activities and created a design and website composition that focuses on usability. We also utilized design elements that evoke the extremely timely issues of environmental problems and ecology as well as diagrams and other tools to make difficult themes easy to understand.

In the future, contents for the website will be developed further to allow an even larger array of stakeholders to submit and share information.

‘ 2009.6.19 The Washington State Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development Housing Program - Website Renewal

We renewed the Washington State Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development Housing Program website.

The Washington State Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development Housing Program (Tokyo) is the Japanese office of a foreign government organization that provides support for importing housing construction materials from North America and the most recent information from Washington State in USA.

The website offers information including information on events such as seminars on construction materials for housing held in Japan, the most recent information on housing, and agency offer information.

In the renewal process, we paid particular care in maintaining a sense of reliability appropriate for a government agency website and kept in mind the website's function as an information website focusing on news supply, actualizing a simple and highly functional design.

For news updates, we included our own Content Management System (CMS) that supports updating by the client.

Customer response: The Washington State Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development Housing Program
The information in our website was old and the design was not working as well, so it had to be completely reworked and condensed down to only the information that was important.

Intercast completely and accurately understood the message we want to project and created a user-friendly website that met our needs at a reasonable cost. The updates are easy to manage and we can also check the access log, so web management is a lot easier now.

We want to gradually increase the amount of information available on the website and make it an even more functional website in the future.

‘ 2009.6.16 Kaizan - Website Creation

We created a new website for Kaizan.

Kaizan (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) is a Japanese food restaurant on the 1st basement floor of the Shinjuku Park Tower. It features authentic countryside flavor with fresh seafood and mountain vegetables.

The website includes content like seasonal course menus using fresh ingredients, local sake and shochu selections from all over Japan, and restaurant photos.

For the website creation project, Kaizan requested a design that conveys the key elements of the restaurant, such as the existence of a unique Kaizan sake collection and interior decoration that imparts a sophisticated ambiance.

We created a design evocative of the tranquil ambiance of a Japanese food restaurant and kept the overall color scheme subdued in order to spotlight the photographs of the restaurant interior, raw ingredients, and finished cuisine. And we arranged the Kaizan logo and illustrations of seafood and mountain vegetables to convey a metropolitan and modern ambiance.

We also provided website contents. In addition to including basic information like cuisine information, a sake and shochu list, and public transport access information, we put special emphasis on introducing Kaizan's unique approach (business model).

We also handled the catch copy and text rewriting to highlight the Kaizan brand image.

Customer response: Kaizan
1) The reasons behind needing a website Kaizan opened in June 2009. We had to have a new website designed because it was a required item as a part of our sales promotion involved in the new opening.

2) Why we chose Intercast Intercast also created the website for "Restaurant un cafx," which is our sister restaurant. We really liked the cool and stylish feel and the user-friendly design composition, so we wanted Intercast for this job as well.

3) Reasons why we are glad we chose Intercast for the project We conveyed a lot of our ideas for this website to Intercast in rough images, and I was very surprised when I saw the finished product! It was incredibly slicker than what I had imagined; it had a very cool look.

4) Reasons why we are glad we ordered a new website Because Intercast incorporated a connection with our page on the gourmet information website "GourNavi," the increase in page views for each website continues to bring in more contacts from customers daily.

5) Future plans for the website I think it would be great to have a function that makes it feel just like walking around the restaurant, like Google street map.

It is given by a consolidation of companies importing housing construction materials from North America.

In creating the leaflet, we used a design with a wood grain pattern to capture the feel of a seminar on housing construction materials.

‘ 2009.5.15 Created in-house Educational Intranet for Pfizer Japan, Inc.

We created an in-house educational intranet for Pfizer Japan, Inc.

Pfizer Japan, Inc. (Japan corporation headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) is an international company engaged in the manufacturing, sales, and import-export of medicines for medical treatment, medicines for animals, and agricultural chemicals.

The intranet contains an abundance of contents devoted to education within the company such as calls for in-house volunteers and patient group support.

Pfizer Japan wanted a design that would allow them to make calls for volunteers in a cheerful way. In addition to using an original animal character illustration to evoke a feeling of friendliness and kindness, we chose a tranquil look for the coloring and other visual elements.

Also, we efficiently categorized the diverse contents and achieved a website that has a focus on clarity.

For news updates, we included a Content Management System (CMS) that supports updating by the client.

‘ 2009.4.30 Measures for Crime Victims - Website Renewal

The Cabinet Office, Government of Japan hired us to renew the "Measures for Crime Victims Website."

This website provides information on advising institutions and measures for support given in a variety of ways to crime victims, their family, and related individuals.

While aiming for a feel evocative of the kind of communal social policy outlook associated with measures for crime victims, we created a calming design with tranquil color scheme. We also created a layout that draws attention to the links to contact pages for users looking for advisory facilities.

‘ 2009.3.25 The Izunokuni tourist association - Website Renewal

We renewed the Izunokuni tourist association website.

The Izunokuni tourist association (Izunokuni City, Shizuoka Prefecture) handles tourist information and sightseeing promotion for Izunokuni City, which is located in the center of Shizuoka Prefecture.

This website supplies an abundance of optimal Izunokuni City travel guide contents like information on lodging facilities, eatery spots, leisure activities, sightseeing spots, and souvenirs.

We achieved user-friendliness and easy navigation by effectively combining information categories based on activities like "Lodge" and "Eat" and information categories based in regional location to allow users to smoothly and quickly peruse an enormous amount of sightseeing information. We also paid special care to the photograph size and placement and color coding the categories so as not to fall into the trap of imbuing a boring uniformity.

For the majority of content renewal, we used Movable Type from Six Apart, Ltd.

‘ 2009.1.1 Bonsai-Techo - Website Creation

We created the "Bonsai-Techo" website as an Intercast product. In addition to projecting the website contents, our goal was to refine technique and give related feedback to customers by creating and operating the website on our own.

Bonsai-Techo is a website gathering information to help beginners start enjoying bonsai trees from square one. With the motto that growing bonsai trees is an activity that can be enjoyed without spending money and with the gratification of satisfying ecological and recycling concerns, the website goes beyond the limits of bonsai trees to explore information on other areas like kokedama trees as well.

The website introduces the numerous attractive points of bonsai tree growing that can be enjoyed even from the beginner stage, like information on bonsai tree growing and nationwide bonsai tree related events. In the website creation process, we worked with character and website element design based on an main theme of the notebook (techo) motif representing the image of users writing down things they have learned. The finished website is brimming with a playful feel, inspiring excitement at every corner as users read the information.

The contents include a great deal of basic information that bonsai tree beginners might intuit but do not actually have a solid knowledge of and a plentiful amount of material designed to inspire a wider base of people to get interested in bonsai trees. Also, we use our own staff to write articles, providing local coverage of bonsai tree related events by traveling all over Japan and actively including information from local sources as well.

In the future we want to hold bonsai tree classes as well as plan events and provide contents to facilitate participation by a wide array of people.

* As of June 30, the website is showing a great deal of activity with access figures rising to over 30 thousand page views and a search ranking within 50th place among 25 million items.
